Comparing with an outright offer

Fashionphile and Bob's Watches do not charge a fee; they make an offer and pay you. Fashionphile pays once it has received and authenticated your item4; Bob's Watches pays immediately once you approve its final offer after inspection5.

To judge an offer, compare it with the net figure above for a realistic sale price on a marketplace, then subtract what the marketplace route costs you in time, shipping, the risk of a return, and waiting. If the gap is small, the offer may be worth it.

Rebag's own example shows the same spread inside one company: for a medium Lady Dior it illustrates $2,515 to $3,620 on consignment and $2,250 on a buyout6.

About this page

We do not earn anything from purchases today. Every product link is a plain link to the merchant's own page, without an affiliate code. We may join merchants' affiliate programs in the future, and this notice will say so before that changes.

Fees, commission rates and payout terms belong to each platform and can change. The platform's own page is the final word on fees, payouts and terms.

LuxeResale Guide compares published fee schedules. We do not authenticate, buy or sell items, and we do not vouch for any listing. Net payout figures are our arithmetic on published rates, not quotes.
